When Steve Saka announced his debut Sobremesa brand last summer, he also announced the first two extensions he planned: Elegante en Cedros and Diadema DeLuxe. Originally, Elegante en Cedros was originally announced as a 7 x 48 cigar, but it turns out, the production release will be a 7 x 50. As is implied in the name, the cigar will be wrapped in cedar. Saka told halfwheel the cigar will debut at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in July. It will come in the planned 13-count boxes, although Saka has said that he is not sure of a finalized price. It was estimated to have a $13.50 suggested retail price, but he indicated he won’t have a confirmed price until the cigar has been in production for a few months. “Most cigar makers subscribe to the concept of trying to make all the various sizes within a line taste as similar as possible, I however am a big believer in tweaking the core liga in a way to suit the individual vitolas within a marquee,” said Saka to halfwheel. “Each vitola in the Sobremesa line therefore is its own unique expression of the blend.
