While many companies announced prices increases in 2016, La Palina is bucking the trend, announcing today a decrease in prices on three lines. The company has announced that will decrease the suggested retail price of its Black and Red Label line by around $1 per cigar, while the Classic Line will be reduced up to $1.50 per cigar. “We’ve seen tremendous consumer response to our Red and Black label cigars, and our Classic blend has been a top performer since its release,” said Bill Paley, the company’s leader, in a press release. “Since our customers enabled us to ramp up our production, we’ve decided to pass-through our re-negotiated prices. I am thrilled to be able to offer some our most popular cigars at a better price.” Suggested retail pricing for the Black and Red Label is now: Petit Lancero ($7.99), Robusto ($8.99), Toro ($9.50) and Gordo ($10.50). As for the Classic, it’s now: Robusto ($5.99), Toro ($6.25), Lancero ($6.50), Torpedo ($6.75) and Gordo ($7.50)
