There’s at least four more La Mission de L’Atelier vitolas to be released, the first of which should be out this spring. Each of the vitolas is named after a year in which Château La Mission Haut-Brion has received a 100-point rating from Robert Parker. That has taken place seven times: 1955, 1959, 1982, 1989, 2000, 2009 and 2015 When the line debuted last year the 1959, 1989 and 2009 sizes were released. The La Mission line uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. L’Atelier Imports co-founder Pete Johnson told halfwheel that he wasn’t sure exactly when the cigar would arrive as he is still mapping out the extensions for the company.
