Pete Johnson of Tatuaje had over two years to determine what the 2016 Monster Series release will be and a few months ago, he chose The Krueger. While that hasn’t been a particular secret, there’s now a picture of the 7 1/4 x 48 box-pressed torpedo that will debut in October. He said the cigar is a straight parejo up until the head as opposed to the “torpedo taper” that was on The Wolfman. Blend-wise, it uses a Mexican maduro wrapper. This year’s release is based on the Freddy Krueger character from Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street. It’s the ninth release for Tatuaje’s infamous Monster Series, cigars based off of monster characters from popular novels and films.
