My Father Cigars has announced plans to release the first tubed addition to its Flor de Las Antillas line, a 6 x 50 round toro that should be on stores by mid-March. Janny Garcia, vice president of My Father Cigars, told halfwheel that the first shipment is expected at the company’s Miami warehouse in late February or early March. They will come in three-count packs, priced at $24–or $8 for a single cigar–before taxes. While the regular production sizes of Flor de Las Antillas are box-pressed, this isn’t the first time that a round version has been produced for the line. In June 2013, a round Short Churchill (6 1/2 x 48) was produced as part of a sampler released by Holt’s, while in Oct. 2013, the MAM-13 (6 x 48) was released to a small group of retailers in the southeastern U.S. A maduro version of the Flor de Las Antillas has been released as a limited production store exclusive for Federal Cigars in New Hampshire. The cigars are produced at the My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
