Just on the heels of Hoyo de Monterrey, Partagás will be the next brand to receive Habanos S.A.’s Añejados treatment. Next month, the Partagás Corona Gorda is expected to launch in Germany according to Christoph A. Puszkar, marketing director for 5th Avenue, the German distributor of Cuban cigars. It measures 5 5/8 inches (143mm) x 46. Another tasting: Partagás Coronas Gordas Añejados. Pretty good! pic.twitter.com/uzswQmmsOS — Christoph A. Puszkar (@Ftiu) January 17, 2016 Suggested pricing is €14.80 per cigar ($16.15) and it will come in boxes of 25. Partagás will be the fourth brand to be part of the Añejados series following the aforementioned Hoyo de Monterrey, Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta. This leaves only Cohiba, H. Upmann and José L. Piedra as Habanos global brands to not have a release. The H. Upmann Robustos is scheduled as a 2016 release according to a leaked document outlining Habanos S.A.’s new production for the year. The Añejados program is the name Habanos S.A. has given to its special collection of aged cigars. The cigars are rolled and boxed and then rested for at least five years. After that period, Habanos S.A. bands the cigars and sends them out for release.
