Gran Habano has shared with halfwheel plans for two new lines that will debut in the summer of 2016 around the time of the annual IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, as well as plans for three new, smaller sizes of its popular Corojo #5 line. The company has confirmed plans to release Los Tres Reyes Magos, or The Three Kings, a culebra that will feature 7 x 32 versions of the company’s Gran Habano Connecticut #1, Maduro #3 and Corojo #5 cigars woven together into the unique shape at the company’s G.R. Tabacaleras Unidas S.A. factory in Honduras. Each box will contain 10 of the culebras, with pricing and a formal release date still to be announced, though they are scheduled to be featured and available at the show. Additionally, the company will be releasing La Conquista, a full-bodied cigar that uses a Nicaraguan wrapper and binder along with filler from Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Columbia, which also is being manufactured in Honduras. The profile is described as spicy and peppery with a long, leathery finish, and packaging that the company calls traditional and very different from other Gran Habano products.
