Lighting up on a restaurant’s outdoor patio could be coming to an end in Sacramento, Calif., as the city council will be reviewing a proposal that would ban smoking in outdoor dining areas in the city. Four of the council members will meet this afternoon to hear from the public about the proposal, which was initiated by Councilman Steve Hansen. He told Fox40.com that the proposal is about “setting a new standard; Sacramento would join over 70 other cities in California that have already done this.”
