José Blanco Targets Señorial In Spring

José Blanco finally has his own company. After months of publicly talking about a blend he was working on, the former La Aurora and Joya de Nicaragua executive has his own company, Las Cumbras Tabaco, and his own cigar, Señorial, which means lordly. Blanco has repeatedly mentioned working at Tabacalera La Palma, the Dominican-based factory responsible for Oliveros/Boutique Blends and operated by his cousin Jochi Blanco, which is where Señorial will be made. According to Cigar Aficionado, there will be five sizes Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 46), Figurado (6 1/4 x 52), Gordo (6 x 60), Robusto (5 1/4 x 52) and Toro (6 x 54). The blend is said to be incomplete, although Blanco says its mostly Dominican with an Ecuadorian wrapper. Distribution, pricing, release date and other details also remain unknown at this time, although Blanco is targeting May for the release. Blanco spent roughly 30 years at La Aurora’s former parent company, Grupo León Jimenes, including 12 years with the cigar division La Aurora.
