There’s a good chance that the 2015 Edición Regional for France may actually make it to retail by the end of the year, something that has become increasingly hard to say for cigars in Habanos S.A.’s regional program. The Quai d’Orsay Robusto Diplomatico is already into production according to a representative from SEITA, Habanos S.A.’s distributor for France, so much so that they are expecting both French retailers and French duty free operators to have the cigar in December. As for the cigar, it’s a Hermosos No.4 vitola, measuring 5 x 48, and will be sold for 12.90 euro per cigar, or 129 euro per box of 10. There are 70,000 cigars being made, split into 7,000 individually numbered boxes of 10 cigars. Approximately 15,000 of those cigars have already been produced and are currently aging. The cigar has been on the radar since at least Aug. 2014, when a list of Habanos’ new release list for 2015 began to surface. The Cuban cigar monopoly has already released a number of those announced releases, including the Partagás Maduro No.1, H. Upmann Magnum 56 Edición Limitada 2015, Ramón Allones Club Allones EL 2015 and Montecristo Media Corona.
