As a follow-up to the Undercrown ShadyXV released to the Detroit area in Nov. 2014, Drew Estate has announced plans for a second installment called the Shady Southpaw that is due in early 2016. The cigar is still being blended by Willy Herrera, but the company said in a press release that it will be a big and bold smoke, blended to the palate of Paul Rosenberg, the cofounder of Shady Records. That label is home to Eminem, Slaughterhouse and Bad Meets Evil, among other acts. While the Shady XV was a tribute to Shady Records’ fifteenth anniversary, Shady Southpaw is being released to commemorate the release of the movie Southpaw, of which Rosenberg was the executive producer. Jonathan Drew called Rosenberg “a trusted friend who delivers a robust conceptual flavor throughout all of his projects” via a press release. For Rosenberg, the chance to work with Drew Estate was something he was excited about. “I’ve been an avid cigar smoker and enthusiast for years,” he said in a press release, adding that the Drew Estate team “are a great fit for me to be able to enter into the cigar world.
