On Tuesday, the smoking ban in Casper, Wy. will go back to the old rules: less places to smoke. In 2013, Casper passed an ordinance that modified the 2012 smoking ban, but now, Keep Casper Smoke Free has gotten enough signatures against the 2013 law that a referendum on the modification will be issued. In the mean time, the city attorney is suspending the 2013 ordinance, which means that smoking will now be banned in bars, restaurants, rest homes, private clubs and in private offices of businesses. According to K2 Radio, the city has a few options in regards to how it once to proceed: the city council could repeal the 2013 ordinance, repeal parts of the 2013 law or allow for the 2013 ordinance to go to a special election. Casper is located in Natrona County in the center of the state. With a population of 55,000, it is the second largest city in Wyoming.
