A ban on smoking is coming to the northern Mississippi city of Holly Springs after the city council approved the proposal at its meeting on Tuesday night. The ban covers all buildings that are open to the public, including restaurants, bars and retail stores and will go into effect in 30 days following a 3-2 vote in favor of it, according to DJournal.com. The city has not posted the text of the ban on its website. Holly Springs is home to just over 7,500 residents.
