Effective today, Guayacan is no longer being distributed by House of Emilio. Over the last few weeks, Noel Rojas of Guayacan has been assembling a network of brokers that will now distribute his products throughout the U.S. The move means that only four brands will remain a part of House of Emilio going forward: 1502 (Global Premium Cigars), Ezra Zion, Nomad Cigar Co. and Emilio. House of Emilio was launched in 2009 and had as many nine brands under its distribution wing. Earlier this year, Gary Griffith, who had been the public face of both Emilio and House of Emilio, announced that he was no longer with the company. In addition, Epicurean Cigars is no longer being distributed by the company. Rojas makes cigars under his own Guayacan, Sabor de Estelí and Rojas Reserve names. In addition, his Tabacalera Aromas de Jalapa factory is responsible for making a variety of cigars for other House of Emilio brands, as well as other clients. In the last few months he has shown an increased focus on U.S. distribution, including moving to Texas to oversee retail expansion.
