Nomad Cigar Co. had one new release at the show, but it was quite an extensive one. And while it wasn’t a dog, it did have a new mascot, Pilones. Therapy The new line is Therapy. Coming in three blends Fred Rewey called “Mild, Medium and Full,” they each come in two sizes: Toro (6 x 50, $7.49) and Corona (4 1/2 x 50, $6.95). The Mild has a Connecticut wrapper, with a San Andrés binder and Nicaraguan filler. The Medium has a habano wrapper, with a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder and Nicaraguan filler. Lastly, the Full has a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper, a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder and Nicaraguan filler. It doesn’t come in boxes, but instead 20 cigar bundles which will be on display at stores in the new tray they developed for the line. Rewey explained there was significant savings on not making boxes, which he was then able to pass on to the consumers for a better-priced cigar. Therapy is produced at Tabacalera Fernandez S.A. and has already begun shipping.
