Gran Habano had let the word out about its new release prior to the show, and retailers formed a steady stream into the booth to pick up both the new products as well as the existing customer favorites. First up, the latest edition of the company’s Gran Reserva line, the Gran Reserva #5 2011. It’s a bold Nicaraguan puro and comes in five sizes, Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46), Gran Robusto (6 x 54), Imperial (6 x 60), CZAR (6 x 66) and Grandioso (7 x 70), all in ten-count boxes. Single stick pricing is between $7.50 and $10, with production handled at the company’s G.R. Tabacaleras Unidas, S.A. factory in Honduras. The cigars were rolled in 2011 but the tobacco dates back upwards of eight years. The Corojo #5 Maduro uses a San Andrés seed that is grown in Nicaragua, which Rico says is very full bodied and offers tons of spice and pepper. Joining the featured cigars was the S.T.K. Zulu Zulu Mas Paz edition, which began shipping in April:
