After appearing in a limited edition humidor and then as an exclusive for retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA), La Flor Dominicana’s Air Bender Maduro will be released as a regular production item. That being said, the cigar is not the same blend as those releases. The notable change is the wrapper change from Brazilian to an Ecuadorian habano wrapper. The fillers are still Dominican tobaccos from the company’s La Canela farms, as is the binder. Air Bender Maduro will be offered in Chisel (6 1/2 x 54, $9.20), Matatan (5 x 50, $7.60) and Valiant (6 1/4 x 60, $9) sizes, all of which will be offered in boxes of 20. The company expects to ship it, along with the plethora of new product its announced, in late August-early September. All of the new items will be shown off next week at the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans, La.
