Cesar Espinal is growing his portfolio of cigars with a new line called Grata that will make its first public appearance at the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. The line is being offered in two wrapper versions, a Dominican corojo or Mexican San Andrés, both of which have a Dominican habano binder and Dominican filler. It will come in three sizes, a Corona (6 x 44), Corona Doble (7 x 50) and Robusto (5 x 52), all in 20-count boxes. Pricing is slated at $7-8.50 for the corojo version and $7.30-$8.75 for the San Andrés. The blend is designed to be medium-bodied with an earthy profile, according to Andy Scharfman, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. It should begin shipping within a month of the trade show. The company has also announced a new limited edition called Profeta that will also be released at the trade show.
