The PSyKo SEVEN line from Ventura Cigar Co. will soon be getting a new vitola, a 5 1/2 x 46 corona. The shipping date is expected to be mid to late June according to Kevin Newman, brand manager for Ventura Cigar Co., despite reports from other publications that listed it as coming out in March. “We requested multiple sizes from the factory and it seemed to smoke really well in the corona size” said Newman. The PSyKo SEVEN uses a complex blend of filler tobacco that draws from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Honduras, the United States and Nicaragua, which provided a bit of a challenge to finding a vitola that showcased all those leaves. In addition, the line uses a Dominican hybrid wrapper and Mexcian Sumatra binder. When it arrives at retail, it will come with an MSRP of $6.50 per cigar and will come in 20 count boxes like the rest of the line. It will also share the same bands and design aesthetics as the existing vitolas.
