The portfolio of Roberto Duran Premium Cigars is set to grow quite a bit at the 2015 IPCPR Convention and Trade Show, as the company has confirmed to halfwheel that it will be adding a number of new vitolas to its existing lines. Headlining the new sizes is a limited edition, 7 1/4 x 57 Salomon hand rolled by Crisanto “Santo” Cárdenas, who joined the company in late May as its master blender. The cigar will come in five-count boxes with individual coffins and secondary bands bearing Cárdenas’ signature. They will have an MSRP of $25 per cigar and $125 per box. Only 600 boxes are being produced, for a total of 3,000 cigars. As reported last week, the Neya F8 Ligero Typhoon line is adding the 7 x 70 Big Jack ($8), but there are three more sizes being added to the more powerful version of the Neya line: the 5 x 52 Patriot (MSRP $6), 6 1/2 x 54 Loyalist ($6.25) and 5 x 58 Gringo ($6.50). The Neya line uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler, though the bigger ring gauges get the F8 moniker due to added strength.
