New Rocky Patel Celebrates 20 Years in Cigars

In 1995, Rocky Patel, an attorney in the entertainment industry, introduced the Indian Tabac brand to the world. Two decades later, he’ll celebrate with a cigar aptly known as the Rocky Patel Twentieth Anniversary. “The Twentieth is very close to me,” said Patel to halfwheel. “I’m especially proud of the cigar. (It’s a) medium-pus cigar, with a lot of blanace and a lot of character.” It’s made in Honduras—which is the same place where the company’s Decade and Fifteenth Anniversary cigars are produced—and it uses a Honduran wrapper and fillers from the Jamastran region of Honduras as well as Estelí and Jalapa, Nicaragua. It’s offered in six box-pressed size: Rothschild (4 1/2 x 50), Robusto, Toro (6 x 52), Sixty (6 x 52) and Lancero (7 1/2 x 38). The company is not disclosing pricing until its official unveiling at next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans, La., but each size will be packaged in boxes of 20.
