Late last year, Quesada Cigars announced that three new vitolas would come to the company’s Casa Magna D. Magnus II line: Trajan, Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius. Two have already been released and now the company is preparing to release the third. At next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Quesada will show off the Casa Magna D. Magnus II Marcus Aurelius, a 6 x 64/46 corneta made with the same Bic lighter-like pressing as the Tiberius vitola. A corneta is a type of belicoso, although the cigar comes to a round head as opposed to a pointed tip. The Marcus Aurelius, which will ship in August, will retail for $8.95 and is limited to 1,000 boxes of 10. It will be shown off at next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans, La. D. Magnus II, like almost all Casa Magna-branded products, is a partnership between the Quesada family, who distribute and market the cigar, and the Plasencia family, who produce the cigars at their Estelí, Nicaragua-based factory.
