This time, it’s North Andover, which is located in the northeastern part of the sate in Essex County. The Board of Health will meet tonight to discuss raising the minimum purchasing age to 21. According to the Eagle-Tribune, the board has already had “informal discussions” on the matter. Last year, North Andover restricted flavor tobacco sales to cigar bars and tobacco retailers. Andover, Danvers, Lawrence and Methuen—all of which are also located in Essex County—have raised the minimum age to 21.
