You won’t have to remember a pecuiliar letter and number system to find Nomad’s newest cigar, just ask for some therapy, literally. The newest release from Fred Rewey is Therapy by Nomad Cigar Co. And just like therapy, it comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. It’s actually a three blend line: Connecticut, Habano and Maduro offered in the same two sizes: 4 1/2 x 50 ($6.95) and 6 x 60 ($7.49). All three are made at Abdel Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Connecticut uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The Habano uses an Ecuadorian habano rosado wrapper and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. As for the Maduro, it’s Pennsylvania broadleaf over a habano binder from Jalapa and Nicaraguan fillers. The release will be presented to retailers in trays with slots for each of the six individual cigars. Refills will come in 20-count bundles. Rewey told halfwheel the release will be limited initially to 100 retailers. Nomad is distributed by House of Emilio. The 2015 IPCPR Trade Show & Convention begins July 17 in New Orleans, La.
