While most of the cigar industry has been holding firm or slightly raising prices on their products going into 2014, Paul Stulac Cigars is bucking the trend and expects to lower prices in the near future. “We are in a unique situation from most others I think,” Paul Stulac told halfwheel, adding that he expects to be able to lower prices by approximately 10 percent by the end of March. “Our quantities have increased significantly over the last year which of course makes us more competitive by being able to buy more strategically packaging wise including boxes and labels,” Stulac noted. He said that the company is in “great shape tobacco wise” due to stock piling the leaves for his blends. Stulac recently announced the addition of a new line called “No Dress Code,” an ongoing series of cigars that are shipped fresh from the rolling table in order to bring consumers closer to the factory. The first release, the Paul Stulac No Dress Code Vitola Torpedo, was reviewed on halfwheel in December.
