La Palina’s latest Goldie is off to stores. A representative from the company informed halfwheel the Robusto Extra, the 6 1/10 x 50 version of the company’s popular limited edition, is now shipping. Like the previous three releases, the size is being rolled entirely by Maria Sierra at El Titan de Bronze. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Pricing is set at $18 per cigar and the cigars come in boxes of 10. The company will ship 1,000 boxes now and another 1,000 will arrive in late fall. As for the new La Palina Family Series, the Pasha size (7 1/4 x 50) is on track to ship later this month with the Babe (5 1/4 x 50) and Allison (6 x 52) appearing at next month’s 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.
