On June 15, over 300 different lots of cigars ranging from vintage versions of the mundane to items likely to never be seen again will go under the hammer as British retailer C.Gars Ltd hosts its 15th auction. As always, it’s a mixture of largely Cuban cigars with a healthier dose of Edición Regionals this time around and a few other recent production cigars. On the other side of the spectrum is Lot 294, a full cabinet of 100 Ramón Allones Coronas de Lujo, pre-embargo cigars that measure 5 5/8 x 42. Estimates for the Ramóns are £12000-14000, roughly $18,000-21,500. Mitchell Orchant, managing director of C.Gars Ltd, identified other notable lots such as Lot 296, another pre-embargo cabinet of 100, this time Romeo y Julieta Coronations de Luxe. Lot 23 is a box of 25 Cohiba Corona Especiales, only this time with the King of Spain bands on it. Of course there are a few items that aren’t tobacco—ashtrays, books and liquors. Lot 234 has one of the higher estimates.
