262 Releases Allegiance Lancero

262 Cigars has released its Allegiance lancero, according to a statement issued by the company on Tuesday morning. The cigar was first announced in mid-February, and it came as no surprise that brand owner Clint Aaron would be bringing his love of lanceros to the line. “I think the lancero can intimidate people since it’s not a popular size,” Aaron told halfwheel at the time. “Most of the time it only takes somebody smoking one or two before they realize how flavorful that size truly is.” #lancero #SummerOf262 A photo posted by Clint Aaron (@262cigars) on May 29, 2015 at 3:19pm PDT The 262 Allegiance line uses a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua, with Aaron noting that he thinks the lancero vitola brings the blend’s cocoa and nuttiness forward. It comes in 20-count boxes with a single stick MSRP of $8.20, or $164 per box. It’s the fourth size in the 262 Allegiance line, which debuted in April 2014, joining a 6 x 54 box-pressed toro ($8.50), 5 x 50 round robusto ($7.50), and a 5 1/2 x 44 corona ($7).
