AVO Syncro Nicaragua Slated for IPCPR 2015

There’s a new AVO line this year, box-pressed and with Nicaraguan leaves, and while neither is a first for the AVO brand, this will be the first time either has happened in a regular production line. That line is AVO Syncro Nicaragua. The four-vitola release draws inspiration from the idea of synchronizing Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco, similar to synchronizing different instruments to create music. As for the blend, it uses a darker Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua’s Ometepe and Olancho, Peru. It is offered in four sizes: Short Robusto (4 x 52, $7.90), Robusto (5 x 50, $8.90), Toro (6 x 54, $9.90) and Special Toro (6 x 60, $10.90). “Experience the thrill of surprising notes from diverse cultures! AVO Syncro brings new and exciting blends to delight today’s aficionados,” said Charles Awad, svp global marketing & innovation for Oettinger Davidoff AG, in a press release. “The fusion of tobaccos from various origins allows the creation of new and surprising taste experiences that will, in the AVO way, generate memorable sharing moments,” he added.
