The Danno is back, with new digs and more wrappers. Next week, Miami Cigar & Co. will begin a series of launch events for the 2015 version of the company’s Danno, a limited edition cigar to honor the late Daniel Luis Miranda, the son of company founders Mariana and Nestor Miranda. The Danno debuted in 2009, a year after Daniel’s passing and also the 20th anniversary of the company. It returned in limited form a few more times, but has not been released since the company overhauled the Nestor Miranda Collection last year. The new Danno is consistent with the new branding and blending. It will now be offered in three different wrappers—like the regular NMC Collection—Connecticut (Ecuadorian Connecticut), Habano (Nicaraguan habano) and Maduro (broadleaf maduro). The cigars use fillers from Brazil, Honduras and Nicaragua, but the percentages are changed depending on the wrapper.
