More than 10 months after they were announced, Crux Cigars is finally shipping two additional vitolas in its Passport line. According to posts on Crux’s Instagram page, both the Passport Half Corona (4 x 42, $5.99) and the No. 4 (4 7/8 x 47, $6.99) are in Miami and will begin shipping to retailers today. Both of the new vitolas debuted at the 2014 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, but have been delayed until now. Like the rest of the Passport line, the Half Corona and No. 4 incorporate a habano wrapper from Ecuador, a binder from the Jalapa Valley in Nicaragua as well as filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. The two new sizes joining a trio of already released vitolas: Lancero (7 x 40, $6.99), Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 44, $5.99) and Toro (6 x 48, $7.99). All five cigars are sold in boxes of 20 and are rolled at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua. The Passport No. 4 features Crux’s a rounded Marblehead cap, one similar to that found on the Cuban 109 vitola, while the Half Corona includes both a covered foot and a pigtail cap.
