Gran Habano has given its Corojo #5 Maduro line a fresh look for 2015 including new bands and boxes that have begun shipping out to retailers. Much like the Corojo #5 line, the maduro version uses a Nicaraguan corojo leaf for the wrapper and binder, with the filler coming from Nicaragua and Costa Rica. The line is available in five sizes, all of which come in 20-count boxes: a 5 x 52 robusto, 6 x 54 gran robusto, 6 x 60 Imperiales, 6 x 66 CZAR and the 7 1/2 x 58 Triumph. MSRP for the line ranges from $6.00 – $8.30, with the cigars being made at G.R. Tabacaleras Unidas S.A. in Honduras. It’s one of many packaging changes that the company has announced and begun to reveal: the Corojo #5 line has added a 7 x 70 Grandioso vitola that recently began shipping, while the G.A.R. Red line has added two sizes, a 5 x 50 robusto and 6 x 54 toro gordo while dropping the 6 x 66 vitola. The long-awaited S.T.K.
