This summer, the 80 or so retailers that are members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) will have a third exclusive cigar from Padrón to offer their customers. At the group’s 47th annual meeting held this week in the Dominican Republic, the cigar maker announced the 1926 Serie No. 47 at the group’s recent meeting. Expected to arrive in June, the cigar measures 5 1/2 x 50, a size that is only found in the company’s 1964 Anniversary Series line, where it is known as the Exclusivo. It will be available in both natural and maduro wrappers, both in 24 count boxes and with a retail price of $18 before taxes. The company has not disclosed production numbers on this new release. It’s the third exclusive size that Padrón has created for TAA members, as the company has offered a 5 x 54 toro in the 1964 Anniversary Series for several years, and last year added a 5 x 52 belicoso to the line, both of which are available in natural and maduro wrapper options.
