My Father to Offer Tweaked La Antiguedad as TAA Exclusive

It appears that at the 47th annual meeting of the Tobacconists’ Association of America being held this week in La Romana, Dominican Republic, My Father Cigars will be offering a tweaked version of its La Antiguedad cigar as an exclusive to this small group of retailers. Anthony’s Cigar Emporium, a TAA member which has locations in Tucson and Phoenix, Ariz., as well as an online store, posted news of the cigar to its blog on Saturday and has begun accepting pre-orders. The cigar will be a 6 x 50 box-pressed toro that uses a rosado wrapper in place of the Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper that covers the regular production line. The rest of the blend remains unchanged, with filler tobaccos coming from three farms owned by the García family in the San Rafael, Las Quebradas and San Jose regions of Nicaragua, while the double binder of one Nicaraguan criollo leaf and one Nicaraguan corojo remains the same as well. The size will also be a new one for the La Antiguedad line, though it will come in 20-count boxes with a price of $170, or $8.50 per cigar.
