The latest addition to the Kafie 1901 portfolio, the Kafie 1901 Connecticut, has arrived and is on its way to retail as of April 3. The line was announced at the end of 2014 and originally slated for a February release. It’s being released in a 5 x 50 robusto, 6 x 54 Toro Bello and 7 x 48 Churchill, all of which are packaged in 20-count cabinet boxes and will have single-stick prices between $6.99 and $8.50, before taxes. It is being added as an ongoing production cigar, though yearly output is being capped at 3,200 boxes. The blend features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Honduran binder grown on the Tabacalera Puros Aliados farms. The fillers come from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The cigars are made at Tabacalera Puros Aliados in Honduras. Kafie 1901 has also announced plans to release another new blend prior to the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the Kafie 1901 Sumatra.
