Two new supersize Asylum vitolas are heading to stores soon, the latest in a line that is known for its large ring gauge offerings. The Asylum 13, 13 Corojo and Ogre blends will all receive the new 80 x 8 vitola as well as the Super 11/18, which measures 8 inches long and has a ring gauge of 60 x 70 x 60. It’s a larger version of the popular 11/18 size used by Camacho, the former company of CLE Cigar Co. head Christian Eiroa. The new vitolas will ship in trays this month, with boxes of 21 coming in May. Pricing is $8 for the Asylum 13 and 13 Corojo Super 11/18 and $10 for the 80 x 8 in both blends. The Asylum Ogre is one dollar higher per cigar: $9 for the Super 11/18 and $11 for the 80 x 8. The cigars are rolled at Eiroa’s El Aladino factory in Honduras. Asylum is distributed by CLE Cigar Co.
