Perdomo Cigars has shipped the first of three installments in its new Small Batch Series to retailers. The collection uses tobaccos that have been aged for 10 years and will come in three wrapper variations released in consecutive months, with a Nicaraguan binder and filler used on all three versions. The debut release features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper that the company says offers “a rich smoke with a creamy complexity, slight hints of caramel and cedar, with a smooth, elegant finish.” The second release, which is due in April, will use a Nicaraguan sun grown wrapper to give “a spicy-sweet complexity, slight hints of oak and almond, with a rich, satisfying finish.” The series will be completed in May with the release of a Nicaraguan Maduro wrapped version that is “smooth with a natural sweet complexity, hints of dark cocoa and coffee, with a rich, robust finish.” All the wrappers have been aged in bourbon barrels, according to a press release issued by the company.
