Federal Cigar has long been known for its multitude of limited edition releases and you can now add another one to the list. The New Hampshire-based cigar shop will be commemorating its 94th year in business with an exclusive vitola in the Quesada Selección España line. The 7 x 47 churchill will retail for $11, and like the rest of the line will be made up of a Ecuadorian Ariparaca wrapper covering a binder from the Dominican Republic and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The release is limited to 300 boxes of 10 cigars. “Rick has been a great supporter of us and is a big fan of the España blend, and so when he approached us about making a special size for him it was an easy decision,” said Terence Reilly, general manager of Quesada Cigars. “When you look at the companies that have made special editions for Federal Cigars, it’s an impressive group. We are honored now to be listed among them.” With the addition of the churchill, the Quesada España line now encompasses eight different violas, four of which are limited editions, and including one other store-exclusive vitola produced for Springfield, Mo.-based retailer Just For Him’s 25th anniversary in 2014.
