In addition to a variety of thinner extensions, Bodega Premium Blends will be introducing a new brand this summer, Bodega Reflexión. The Reflexión will debut with the Profundo blend, which uses an Ecuadorian oscuro wrapper over an undisclosed mixture of filler tobaccos. It will be offered in three sizes: Double Robusto (5 x 54), Shorty Gordo (4 3/4 x 6) and Toro (6 x 52). Pricing is said to be in the $9-11 range. “At the core of many cigar experiences is quiet thought,” said Gino Domanico, the company’s president and ceo, to halfwheel. “Our philosophy at Bodega Premium Blends is to nurture the experience one has with his or her cigar. Here with Profundo, we wanted to highlight the importance of internal discourse & meditation. Reflexión Profundo has been blended precisely with this occasion in mind.” The Bodega Reflexión Profundo is made at the same undisclosed Nicaraguan factory as the company’s debut Reunión Aperitivo and Digestive lines.
