Perdomo has informed retailers of a small number of price increases to some of its lines, as well as a trio of new cigars that are expected later this year. Seven of the company’s lines will see a 25 cent per cigar increase as of March 1: the Perdomo Habano, Perdomo Reserve Champagne Series, Perdomo Grand Cru 2006, Perdomo2 (Squared) L.E. 2008, Perdomo Lot 23, Perdomo Limited Cameroon Edition and Nick’s Sticks. The company cited rising labor rates and manufacturing costs in Nicaragua as being the impetus behind the increase, though it reiterated that it will continue to absorb the SCHIP tax on all of its lines. Additionally, three new lines were announced, the Perdomo Small Batch Series, Perdomo Special Craft Series, and Perdomo Factory Tour Blend. The only information released about the new cigars were the sizes and box counts. The Perdomo Small Batch Series will be produced in four sizes, a half corona, Rothschild, belicoso and toro especial, each available in 30-count boxes with the half corona also being produced in four-count tins.
