Black Label Trading Company has announced the formation and launch of a new cigar factory called Fabrica de Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua, which is being opened with a complete focus on small batch premium cigars. The factory officially started production on February 9 and is currently working on its first batch of Black Label Trading Company cigars. “Starting our own factory was a natural progression of the brand, we needed the freedom to be as creative as possible and to have ownership of every process that goes into making our cigars,” said James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Company, via a press release “We have always been involved in every aspect of our production but now we can take it to the next level and ensure 100% quality from seed to ash,” he added. In a press release issued by Black Label Trading Company, Oveja Negra, which translates as Black Sheep, will be a place where smaller brands and retailers wanting private labels can make a cigar without huge minimum orders, since small batch production will be the norm.
