Camacho’s latest focus is a return to the company’s roots: Corojo. Two new SKUs are being added to the Camacho Corojo brand: a new Corojo Gordo (6 x 60, $8.50) and 20-count boxes of Robusto Tubos ($7.25). The two new additions come as part of a new marketing campaign called “The Original Bold Smoke,” which pays tribute to the company’s most storied line. As part of the promotion, customers who purchase a box of Camacho cigars from participating retailers between Feb. 1 and April 30, 2015 will receive a four-pack of Camacho Corojo Robustos. In addition, 35 stores will hold seminars hosted by Camacho discussing corojo. “Original Corojo sits at the heart of everything we build under the Camacho brand,” said Dylan Austin, director of marketing for Camacho, in a press release. “It is a core component that roots our brand back to its storied Cuban heritage and what gives our cigars the unique intensity that aficionados across the globe have come to love.” Corojo’s roots, like so many things in cigars, trace back to Cuba.
