Two of the newest Cuban cigars are beginning to arrive, in the United Kingdom. The Partagás Serie D No.6 and Romeo y Julieta Pirámides Añejados have both begin shipping. As for the new Partagás, it measures 3 1/2 inches (90mm) x 50. It was announced at the XVI Festival del Habano this past February. According to Hunters & Frankau, the U.K.’s distributor of Cuban cigars, it carries a suggested retail price of £13.60 ($20.55) per cigar and £260.20 ($393.11) per box of 20. As for the new Romeo y Julieta, it’s actually an old cigar. The Añejados program, which will debut internationally with the Romeo y Julieta brand, is a collection of cigars aged five to eight years. The Romeo y Julieta Pirámides Añejados is the first in the series to ship. It measures 6 1/7 inches (156mm) x 52, the same dimensions of the Romeo y Julieta Pirámides that was officially discontinued in 2003. Pricing for the U.K. market is suggested at £24.70 ($37.32) and £590.60 ($892.29) per box of 25. This is not the first time Habanos S.A. has used the Añejados name or concept.
