Quesada Cigars will be expanding its Casa Magna D. Magnus line with three new sizes in 2015, the first of which is scheduled to be released in January. The Casa Magna D. Magnus Trajan is a D-shaped cigar measuring 5 1/2 x 60 that has been pressed on one side to give it the distinctive shape. While the blend is the same as the other sizes in the D. Magnus II line, with a Nicaraguan Jalapa Sun Grown wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler, there have been a few adjustments made to the ratio of the fillers that give the Trajan a distinct flavor profile. It will arrive in stores with an MSRP of $8.50 per cigar, and just 1,000 ten-count boxes are being made for this new size, which is being produced at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua. Two additional sizes will debut in the spring: Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius. Collectively known as “The Three Good Emperors,” the names for the cigars come from emperors who led the Roman Empire at its peak.
