Drew Estate will be producing the next installment in Florida retailer Smoke Inn’s Microblend Series, as today the store announced the project will be called Pope of Greenwich Village. While neither Smoke Inn nor Drew Estate have provided any specifics about the cigar, it will be released on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 as part of the store’s Great Smoke VIP dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in West Palm Beach, Fla. Both Marvin Samel and Jonathan Drew are scheduled to appear at the release event, and attendees will receive a five-pack of the cigars in advance of their formal release. It will be the tenth release in the Microblend Series, joining the recently released Illusione Pactum, which debuted on Dec. 5. Other cigars in the series have been made by Tatuaje, Padrón, My Father Cigars, Espinosa/601 La Bomba, Arturo Fuente, Room101 and Quesada. Production for each release in the is limited, with individual release numbers ranging from 3,375 to 22,500. A Drew Estate representative declined to provide details about the cigar until after its release, while an email to Smoke Inn proprietor Abe Dababneh has not yet been returned.
