E.P. Carrillo has once again teamed up with online retailer Bespoke Post for a cigar-themed holiday box, and once again it includes a pair of previously unreleased cigars. The Churchill Box, which was released earlier this week, features four E.P. Carrillo cigars, two of which are regular releases: a 5 x 50 E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut Brilliantes, and a 6 1/8 x 50 Perez-Carrillo La Historia Doña Elena. Also included are two unreleased cigars, the first of which is billed as a prototype for the E.P. Carrillo 5 Year Anniversary that came out in August. This prototype measures 6 3/4 x 49 and uses an Ecuador Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler from the Dominican Republic, a completely different blend and size from the cigar that was actually released, though it does share the same primary band. The second cigar is simply called the Unreleased Family Blend #0409, described as being a unique, unreleased blend from E.P. Carrillo’s personal humidor. It measures 6 1/2 x 54 and uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler for a medium-to-full bodied cigar.
