Forty years ago, the Philadelphia Flyers were dominating hockey. Manning the net for the Broad Street Bullies was Bernie Parent, who put together one of the most impressive two-year runs hockey has ever season. Parent won three trophies, back-to-back, in both the 1973-1974 and 1974-1975 seasons: the Venzia Trophy, awarded to the National Hockey League’s best goalie, the Conn Smythe Trophy, awarded to the most valuable player of the playoffs, and the Stanley Cup—the trophy awarded to the team who wins said playoffs. Now, Parent has a cigar release honoring the achievement. Rocky Patel Premium Cigars has announced the BSB 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition a limited edition sampler of a trio of toros. Each box has 12 cigars, meaning customers receive four each of the Venzia, a habano-wrapped toro, Conn Smythe, a broadleaf-wrapped toro, and Lord Stanley, a box-pressed sumatra wrapped toro. Inside each of the samplers is a signed puck from Parent himself. The numbered samplers are limited to 1,000 units and will retail for $160.
