The final two new products introduced by Rocky Patel Premium Cigars at the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show are on their way to retailers. Last week, the company began shipping Catch Twenty-Two, a new value-priced line made at General Cigar Co.’s STG Danlí. It’s offered in four sizes: Double Corona (7 1/2 x 52), Rothchild (4 1/2 x 50), Sixty (6 x 60) and Toro (6 x 52), each priced between $4.50 and $5.50. Each size comes in boxes of 22, except for the Rothschild, which is packaged in 50-count cabinets. Next week, the company will start events for the other cigar, Prohibition. It is made at the factory co-owned by Rocky Patel and Amilcar Perez Castro in Estelí, Nicaragua. There are two separate wrappers —Connecticut broadleaf and Mexican San Andrés—each offered in a 6 1/2 x 52 toro. The cigar is created to draw inspiration from classic speakeasies used during prohibition with crates packed full of six jars of cigars. Pricing is set at $8.
