The latest from the partnership between Guillermo León and Jason Holly is heading to stores. Holly’s Viva Republic has announced that Miami Cigar & Co., the company’s distributor, has begun shipping Propaganda, the newest La Aurora-made cigar from Holly. Propaganda has been in the works since July 2013, when the project was known as Thrice, a cigar centered around three different ligeros. Because of delays and a desire for a different taste, Holly eventually settled on a Brazilian wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and fillers from Brazil, Nicaragua and Pennsylvania. The cigar debuted at the 2014 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in three sizes, and it is now shipping to retailers. Holly admitted that not all orders are being fulfilled in the first shipment, but he said he expects a second shipment shortly that should address the remaining orders. Viva Republica entered the market in 2012, originally handling its own distributor. Earlier this year, Miami Cigar & Co. announced that it had signed an agreement with Holly to distribute the brand. Brooks Whittington rated Viva Republica Propaganda Disinformation 90 points earlier this year.
