At the recent Inter-tabac trade show in Dortmund, Germany, E.P. Carrillo released a pair of cigar lines that will be available exclusively to the European market: New Wave Reserva and Cabinet, though they won’t stay there for long as they are reportedly headed to the U.S. retailers by the end of the year. The E.P. Carrillo New Wave Reserva uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Connecticut broadleaf binder and a filler blend from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic to create a medium-bodied profile. Expected at retail by the end of September, it is being offered in four sizes, a robusto (5 x 50), toro (6 x 52), Supremo (5 1/8 x 56) and Inmensos (6 x 60). MSRP is set to be between $6.65 and $8.60 per cigar, with each size coming in 24-count boxes. The E.P. Carrillo Cabinet uses the same Nicaraguan corojo 99 wrapper found on the INCH C-99, along with a binder from the Dominican Republic and filler from Nicaragua.
